Family Dobnikar continues the long tradition of the restaurant in Topol (Katarina nad Ljubljano). The year above the door to the old restaurant, 1866, speaks of its many years of existence.

The restaurant started developing with the rise of hiking tourism and Sunday trips.

In 1924, the restaurant was bought by Anton Dobnikar. During World War II, the German-Italian border ran by the restaurant. Anton then left the restaurant to his son, also Anton. Since 1980, the restaurant is managed by his son Anton – third generation of the Dobnikar family – with the help of his wife Mira and sons Toni and Rok.
