ROK DOBNIKAR’S ACHIEVEMENTS

From a young age, Rok has been directly involved in catering, since he comes from a restaurant family. “In the Secondary School for Catering and Tourism, I was especially interested in the chapter on cocktails – mixed drinks, and I soon decided to devote myself to this subject. In 2001, I completed a cocktail mixing course organised by the Slovenian Bartenders Association. I began bartending actively in 2003, when I first started competing. I learned a lot from the older and more experienced bartenders, and the first achievements soon followed. In 2003, I earned my first significant recognition with the bronze medal at the Catering and Tourism Convention at Bled, and competed that very same year for the Bled Cup, where I finished 14th. I presented my cocktail at the 5th cocktail mixing festival for the Argonaut Days and at the 1st Cocktail Mixing Championship in Radovljica, where I came second. In 2004, I started participating in flair bartending competitions, and achieved much success in this discipline. I won silver at the National Championship three times, I participated at international competitions in Milan, Prague, Budapest, and Rijeka, and at all flair bartending competitions in Slovenia. My greatest achievements until has are undoubtedly the 2006 National Champion title, 6th place at the World Championship in Greece, and 4th place at the World Championship in alcohol-free cocktails.
In the future, I hope for many more achievements and great parties at the Cocktail Bar Roky!”
